What happens after the trial?

When you've finished your witness job, the Victim Advisor will make sure that someone explains the verdict and sentence to you and talks about how you’re feeling.

It’s important that you can talk to your trusted adult, therapist, or counsellor about any feelings you have, whatever they are.

“It’s often helpful to talk to someone about what’s happened and how you’re feeling.”

Getting help

While you wait, there are places to get support. Your trusted adult may be able to access support on your behalf.
